I was actually talking to my Doctor about the whole BMI thing last week. She also was a little skeptical of the way the BMI system works...it doesn't account for frame size, or muscle mass. According to the chart my perfect weight is 146 pounds. I'm over 5'9 and at one point I actually was 145 pounds and had to totally restrict my calorie intake to maintain that weight. I used to beat myself up on the whole weight thing...all my friends are mostly small little petite women....it is after all only a number, right?
