I have had these pronlems in the past too. Doctors have shrugged, moaned, told me they don't know what PCOS is, told me I might be imagining things, given me incorrect advice (that could have seriously messed me up and caused me to go through loads of problems as a result), told me that I just have "women's problems" and should "grin and bear them".

I have come to the realisation that my gynae is only helpful and friendly when I see him at a private hospital and pay £90 for 15 minutes.

I have also realised that I have been the only person is this equation that has been actively searching for answers!

It is really frustrating at times.

At my doctor's surgery there is only one doctor whom I like. She happens to be (in my opinion) the least "academic" but she will listen, research and prescribe what I (yes ME!) believe will help me and my personal case, not what she thinks the NHS want her to prescribe. So that is nice. But people seem to like her so it's difficult to get and appointment!

xx
