Default Is Dr. wrong?

Hello! I just found out about this disorder a couple months ago. Went off BCP in August and have gone 8 months without a period. So I went to an OB gyn and I was 114 lbs, 5'6 and he tells me gain some weight. But then he did a scan and sees I have multiple cysts on my ovaries. But they are not enlarged. And he did bloodwork but all the hormones are "normal". I have gained about 6-8 lbs over the last 2 months but still don't have a period. He said he's not going to label me polycystic ovarian syndrome bc I have no other symtoms. But why else would I have the cysts? Isn't it possible to still have PCOS with symptoms being no period and multiple cysts? And if not, then why do I have these symptoms? He told me to just not stress and wait a few months but I am freaking out about it now. Should I see someone else?
