I believe the racing heart is from the Synthroid. I haven't heard of Met causing it. You probably have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis which can cause your TSH levels to swing from high to low. Eventually you will even out a bit and the heart racing will go away. I suspect this is why your doc didn't increase your dosage when your TSH climbed again in Feb. It takes a while to get your dosage just right (and eventually it will need to be increased).
Also, the racing heart could be due to anxiety and the more you try to figure it out and think about it, the worse it can be.

I'm sure you know.
Oh, and I noticed you posted something about nausea...this is probably the Met. Are you on the XR (extended release)? If not, you may want to consider switching if your symptoms don't subside in a couple of weeks. The XR is supposedly easier on the tummy.
