 Disappointing experience in Long Branch, NJ - Dr. Ganne
Recently I saw Dr. Sudha Ganne, an endocrinologist in Long Branch, NJ. Honestly, there were VERY few endos near my home that my insurance would accept, so it was slim pickings for me.
I was very disappointed with my experience. The doctor has HORRIBLE bed side manner. As a woman, I thought she would have been more aware of my feelings and she made comments about many of the cosmetic symptoms I had (hair on arms, thinning hair on my head, acne, etc.). What bothered me the most is she told me I needed to exercise (hey like I haven't heard that before!). I eat healthy, I do the best I can do, but I work at least hours a day and my commute is 2 hours, one way. When I get home, all I feel like is collapsing on my couch and sleeping. Well, she says, "Don't give me that. You're not 50, you're 25!" I found that comment to be insulting and in poor taste.
In the end, she told me nothing I didn't know and I considered the visit a waste of my time. My experience so far has been that there is nothing an endo can do for me that a gyno can't. So, I am going to save the money I'd waste on co-pays and just see a gyno for now on. |
