Infertility is an effect of abortion. There are punishments from God and there are natural consequences to our actions. I would say infertility after abortion is the second. There is a speaker Dh and I heard back years ago. He had been a male prostittute and his wife had had an abortion. When they got saved and then married they faced infertility. His wife blamed herself for their not being able to have children. He was upset that he couldn't work with youth because of his past sexual offense arrest. In the years to come they were blessed with two boys and an opening to work with youth. God has made it clear we must suffer consequences to our actions, but this does not cut off a future full of blessings after we repent of our sins and are washed in His blood. Here is a list of people who could be in your situation of, "Is God witholding blessings and punishing me." I would suggest a study on thier lives:
Paul- had Christians put to death
David- killed a man, commited adultry
Solomon- betrayed God, chased prostitutes
Peter- denied Christ, cursed
Jonah- disobeyed God, hated those God loved
Elijah- suicidal, didn't trust God
Abraham- commited adultry, lied about his wife, put her in a position of possible bigamy
Isaac- Lied about his wife, put her in a position of possible bigamy
Jacob- lied, cheated
Jacob's wife- stole false gods
Judah (ancestor of Christ)- slept with his daughter in law who he thought was a prostitute, then wanted to put her to death before he found out he was told he was the one she had slept with |
