if your thyroid meds r too high or you are use to being really low, when you start putting that hormone back in, your skin gets some oil to it and when you are hyperthroid i know it will make sking oily, and your hair and nails grow faster. when you are hypothyroid, everything is drier and grows slower. so you may not notice the hair growth as much when you are hypo and not taking meds. i know it does to head and body hair so i am guessing that would include our 'special' areas that not all ladies get hair growth. some symptoms of hypthyroid are loss of eyebrow and head hair, also leg and arm, underarm and in extreme cases i have read even pubic hair.
