 First time IVF - high E2
Hi Ladies! I am a first time poster but wanted to join in since I'm doing IVF for the first time. I'm scheduled for egg retrieval in 3 days (this coming Friday) however I'm starting to get really concerned about OHSS. My E2 level was just over 8000 and I've got something like 25 or 30 big follicles. Everything I read online suggests that my numbers are too high and I'm destined to have hyperstimulation! I've discussed it with my RE and she isn't too concerned. Does this seem right? I'm going to a pretty reputable clinic, and I just thought they would have cancelled my cycle to be on the safe side. I really don't want to get OHSS! At this point they have me "coasting" until Friday (no more drugs), so maybe the RE is just hoping my E2 levels will go down before then. Anyone else have an experience like mine? |
