Default why won't my GP prescribe yasmin?

Hi

I was wondering if anyone can help. My endo and GP want to put me on dianette but I read up on this board and I'm really not keen to go on it. I asked my GP if I could go on yasmin, and she said "they don't really prescribe yasmin." Is this just to do with my particular dr's or can you only get yasmin from a specialist? I live in the UK.

Also, she suggested that if I didn't want to go on dianette I could go on a regular pill (with high estrogen?). Thing is I really want to sort out my skin. Can I do that with a normal pill?

Thanks! xx
