It is harder to be a parent to a deceased child than to a living one. I am glad "those people" don't know how hard it is, but I wish they would give you the warmth and care that you deserve on a special day!! You will always be a mother to Stephen, and he will always be your son. Sometimes we have to demand what we need and explain it in very simple terms to the IRL people around us, sigh. Thank goodness that was not a problem for our family, but you are among many jilted mommas here. (((Hugs)))
