My BMI is also 19 but I am not trying to gain weight (so not sure if this would help!) I exercise 3 times a week for 1 hour and 30 minutes. I do a 3 mile run, a full set of weights x3, and stretches. I have noticed that my symptoms are more under control when I exercise, however my acne is worse. I do know that weight lifting can increase androgens. Unfortunately, weight lifting is very important for women and you should just try and not lift too much weight. Also, when I used to exercise very frequently, 4-5 times a week for an hour, I was not on medication and my cycles were regular and my symptoms seemed to "go away", however, I think as the syndrom progressed as I reach my mid-20's the exercise no longer controlled it.
