Also I wanted to add that your blood sugar doesn't have to be high to be IR. You can be IR and not have high blood sugar because your body is over producing insulin to keep those blood sugars low.... eventually that will on longer work and your pancreas will be too tired and those sugars will start to creep up. Also I agree with the above poster that Met does not cause hypo's.
