My first doctor did something similar. He tested me in 2004 bur I didn't know I was positive for PCOS until last year. The office never called me to tell me I had PCOS so after my bloodwork came back and I never heard from them, I thought I was fine. He had started me on BCP so I started to feel better but it was once I was off them trying to conceive that my symptoms came back full force. I was so sick so I called their office and they said that yes, I had PCOS. Pissed me off royally.
Word of advice, find a good doctor who will listen to you! I did and we will be talking about my options on the 27th of this month. I wasted a lot of precious time on inept doctor who just put a bandaid on the problem but didn't give me any long-term help. |
