I'm about half way finished with the book now. There are parts where she sounds a bit alarmist, but she's right. It is sad to me that our world has gotten so bad that the truth sounds alarmist. I've already read the chapter where she tells which things you can't have and the main thing she wants people to cut out is processed foods and even then she says that if you have to have it at least make smarter choices about which processed stuff you buy. She also really really has a hatred for high fructose corn syrup (we all know she's right). She does not advocate cutting out any food group, she says that diets that have people do that are one of the major problems that have caused everyone's hormones to be out of whack in the first place. I don't think I can cut out all the things she says to cut out (I don't want to completely get rid of artificial sweetners, for instance, because I love my crystal light and I love having a cup of decaf coffee once a week or so and I need 2 splendas for my coffee), but I am going to try to slowly work at it.
