Well Idk what the heck is wrong then. I keep getting conflicting advice and I have no idea what to do. I don't go too long without eating. I'm a teacher at a daycare and we go by usda. So we have the correct portions and balance that we're supposed to. We have snacks inbetween each meal, usually about every 2 1/2 hours we eat. I do watch my carbs. Like if we have lasagna and bread sticks, I don't eat the bread. And if we have potatoes and corn I'll eat either one but not both. I check my sugar when I wake up before I eat breakfast, 2 hours later then after each meal. My sugar was actually higher than I've ever had it this morning after I woke up. It was 104. I'm usually in the 70's. My dr said I only need to check it in the morning when I wake up, then at 4. However, I've been checking it the way my diabetic friend does to see how it fluctuates. I was diagnosed hypoglycemic 8 years ago, and 1 year ago I found out that I'm IR. I haven't checked my sugar before until just recently so I have no idea how my sugar was before I went on met. It's been a few days since I've taken my met so maybe my body's trying to adjust. Idk!
