When I got PG and went to my GP I got referred to my midwife for a booking appointment. No tests, calls or whatever. I had to wait a week or so to hear from my midwife, and then she referred me to the hospital for my first scan. I didn't know how far gone I was [must've been about 6weeks by the time I saw her] and didn't get my scan till I was 11 wks. Maybe if you are high risk you will get reffered - but being whatever risk wasnt discussed until I met the midwife. Hope tht helps and good luck and baby dust!
