I have so much on my mind that I needed to express to someone that will understand. I am 25 yrs old and my husband and I are not TTC. I was diagnosed with PCOS 2 days ago when I complained of pain on my lower left side and after a CT scan. My doctor is still awaiting my blood tests to see if I have increased testosterone levels. I am not overweight (5'1" and 109 lbs), have no facial hair, and hardly any of the other symptoms. I have had recent problems with a little acne and my periods were always long before I was on birth control and have been semi regular since then. I came of BC 1 1/2 years ago because I felt it controlled my body and I would really like to stay off of it for good. As with some of you on here, it seems I do not have many symptoms, so is it possible it is something else? That is what worries me so much. But the CT scan showed several little cysts in each ovary and my ovaries were larger than normal. And if it is, and we're not TTC, will I need to go on medication or can I just keep living with slight pains? I am confused and worried. I've been to the doctor more in the past 3 weeks than I have in my whole life and am so not used to tests and waiting and more waiting. Also, I have had bouts of where I feel like I need to urinate often. Doctor prescribed me Cipro for a UTI, but just 2 nights ago I started to feel the same. Anyone else experienced this? thank you for any and all help you can give me...
Yes, I have! I thought that having to urinate often was just something strange my body was doing...I'm assuming now its related to PCOS and I feel so much better hearing that someone else has the same issue. I just found out 2 days ago I have PCOS as well. I am 5'3" and 113 lbs. Apparently from what I have found is that you can have PCOS with few symptoms. I have always been on BC. As soon as I go off my periods are few and far between with spotting every other day. I do get some acne. There are different levels at which everyone can have it. I don't have many symptoms either. Although now with trying to have a 3rd child we are struggling. My other 2 we're conceived as soon as I went off the pill. My dr. has put me back on the pill and will take me off in 2 months hoping that I get pregnant right away again.

Sounds like you and I are almost facing the exact same issues. I know its stressful but try not and worry too much. I have come to live with it and just deal with a few aches. Keep me posted.
