I had a lap in December. I was nervous too, but my RE wouldn't provide any fertility help until he did a lap. So I went for it. I remember being a little scared as soon as I was in the op room bc 1. it was freezing 2. my DH couldn't be with me and 3. it felt like they rushed me through prep. I teared a little and the Drs were super nice and comforting. I was out before I knew it and when I woke up (what felt like 2 seconds later) I was in recovery. I was pretty groggy and I remember asking for water and telling them I had to pee. So they had me sit on a bedpan, that was terrible, lol! DH took me home after a few hours sleeping in recovery. The drive home was a bit rough (lots of construction and bumps). But once I was home I laid on the couch and slept. I don't recall much pain when I was still. But going from a laying to sitting or sitting to standing position hurt a bit, but not unbearable. I had the lap done on a Thursday and was back at work on Monday. I think it is definitely worth it to get more answers from your dr.
Good luck!
