My RE referred me to a ob/gyn in November who put me on Yasmin then I switched dr's because I'm not moving to Louisiana after all. I started seeing a dr here in Mississippi who is highly educated in PCOS and BCP's for it and he got all upset saying I shouldn't been on the Yasmin, yada yada yada. He's got me on Ortho-Novum 1-50-28. He doesn't even Rx Yaz or Yasmin because of the heart/clotting problems. Maybe that's another reason why they won't rx it for you.
