BCP and Testosterone levels? This maybe a stupid question....so I apologize if it is indeed a stupid one, but this has been nagging at my brain for a couple of days now and figured I should ask.
My question is : Do BCPs effect testosterone levels enough for a doctor to assume you do not have PCOS?
I'm FINALLY being tested for PCOS. My doctor believes I do infact have it, but would like to see my testosterone levels. My doctor placed me on BCPs in April and waited to do labs until my insurance kicked in. So now I'm worried that my testosterone levels will be normal due to the pill and I will not have the confirmation of having PCOS like I've waited for for so long! So now I'm worried...I know I shouldn't but I know I have it, my doctor believes I have it...its all about the test results and I'm freaking out.
