Some people just don't like some teas... For example rooibos seems to have become very hot as an ingredient in the last few years and I can't stand it. If I had to get a cup down for medicinal purposes, I could - but to drink for enjoyment, no way.

I have never actually tried just spearmint tea. I have read peppermint is helpful, too. I drink mint mixtures... Mint Medley is a good one (Bigelow, I think?) as is Celestial Seasonings Mint Magic. I guess it's not as potent as drinking the straight up spearmint, but it's something. One of these days I plan to try plain spearmint...

Anyway I like to add a teaspoon of turbinado sugar, milk, and ice to my hot tea. That's how I drink it. Mint tea unsweetened is not terrible but it's not my favorite, either. Just a tiny bit of sugar makes a huge difference.

"We've tried to wash our hands of all of this
We never talk of our lacking relationships
And how we're guilt-stricken, sobbing, with our heads on the floor
We fell through the ice when we tried not to slip..."
