Clomid is known to cause dizziness and visual disturbances. Since being on it, I have had some dizziness as well, mostly when I am changing position, such as going from laying to standing up (or vice versa), or if I am bending down for some reason, and then stand back up. Just like you, I also felt more dizzy when I would lay down and close my eyes (a "swimming" feeling, like you're floating in wavy water)...it always improved upon opening my eyes or standing up. Clomid is also known to cause visual spots or flashes, and it is supposedly completely normal.
However, if this becomes a regular occurence (several times or more a day), becomes severe (it doesn't correct itself within a few minutes or upon standing/changing position), or if it affects your daily life in a way where you cannot function, work, etc then I would say call your doctor.
I've had a few strange symptoms with dizziness, and some spots, as I said, but I am chalking it up to being on the Clomid, since it has also been giving me some headaches and hot flashes. Most importantly, try not to worry about it being anything serious because it's mostly likely nothing and just a side effect. Best of luck!
