It can take a long time to find a good therapist...I went to one at my university, who immediately sent me to the doctor to get tested for manic depressive (I could have told the therapist that wasnt it....oh wait I did that...). Thankfully I found a great one through my mom, who has really helped me a lot. There was very little small talk, except for asking about things that triggered my anxiety during the week, etc.

I would ask her to not do the small talk, or maybe look for a new therapist...
