Just wanted to share what worked for me -- I know I always combed this site for these stories...so here it goes!
Me: 27 yrs, 108lbs, 5'4, PCOS diagnosed 7/08 by ultrasound only (not IR)
DH: no known problems
I started metformin last July. Then started the clomid...50...100...150 (3 cycles)...moved on to a specialist. Another shot with clomid 200, HcG trigger and IUI...nuttin. My luteal phase was increasingly wacky (shorter, spottier). Told the doc I needed him to "commandeer my hormones." So he did. Injectables (very low dose), HcG trigger, IUI, progesterone suppositories...
I peed on a stick 12dpo (at night, after drinking water and peeing all day! I was sure it was going to be negative)...and it was instantly positive! I was shocked. HCG count 13dpo was 516 (they were hoping for about 100)...40 hrs later it was 1109. Lots of spotting (about daily) until almost 6 wks...scary stuff, but apparently more normal that you'll find on websites.
Just had my 2nd u/s and both have good heartbeats and look great (per doc)! Measuring 6w2d and 6w4d.
Oh, I also see an acupuncturist who specializes in fertility. She's awesome.
Another cool thing? No morning sickness (yet)! But every other pregnancy symptom that's out there...
Anyway, I always looked for those posts with a lot of info in success stories, so that's what I went for here. Of course, we're all different, but hopefully this helps you think positively!
