I haven't discussed it with my doctor, because it such a run-of-the-mill medication for pain, that I figured what can it hurt? Especially at this low dose? I reasoned that I don't ask my doctor when I want Tylenol or Advil, so why is it necessary to ask her about low dose aspirin. Maybe that is stupid way to look at it. I was talking to DH just now and he's like "but you take it every day.... there is a difference there". He has a point.

My worst fear is that I'll ask my doctor, and she will have me stop taking it for whatever reason, and I'll have another miscarriage, only to later find out the baby aspirin would have made all the difference. On top of this, my pregnancy in May was not able to be confirmed because by the time my blood was drawn, my HCG was already less than 1. So as far as my medical records show, I was never pregnant and therefore I should have no reason to be concerned about a repeat miscarriage. Because of this, I fear my concerns would not be received seriously.

I just... want to do what I can. And I know doctors can sometimes brush you off when you have a legitimate concern or course of action, even when they have your best interest at heart.

I will call my doctor Monday and talk to her about it regardless, though. Maybe she'll have me continue taking it, who knows. I have done a little reading online, and there seems to be conflicting information about taking it. Some articles say to only take it alongside of a prescribed anti-coagulating agent such as heparin, and other articles say it doesn't hurt to take it, and there are no studies that show it hurts--- ("how can increased blood flow be a problem?") I am wondering myself how it could possibly be harmful, especially since I suspect my blood runs slower than normal anyway.
