Default PCOS - endo - new please help!!!

Hello,

I was diagnosed with PCOS in March 09 but have suspected it for awhile due to my wacky cycles. Got them every 3+ months. Dr. did an u/s showed 'several small follicles' and said i have pcos. I do not have any other symptoms of PCOS and she's treating me by keeping me on my birth control to regulate things.

I've realized after a lot of research that there seems to be a high number of pcos women that have endo. Does anyone know why this is or what percentage of pcos-ers have endo? I ask because I have horrible stomach pains...always in the morning...that get worse around the time I have my period. I've always had a 'nervous stomach' but doctor said it was IBS but now I'm wondering could it be endo? I have no other endo symptoms (short cycle, heavy bleeding) but then again I've been on birth control for around 5 years and since I have pcos I guess I've never had a true 'cycle'. I'm just frustrated not knowing if this is truly IBS or possibly something worse, and how can this even be verified without a lap?! Thanks for your help.
