With Philips Norelco razors -- and here i'm talking about the men's type with the rotary heads -- , the numbers can be very misleading and are constantly changing. Some model numbers are produced for particular retailers, production of some older models has been moved to China and so on. The ones near the top end of the range
are better than the cheaper ones, in my experience, but the most important thing is getting the technique right. In my experience the skin needs to be clean and totally, absolutely, dry, the moustache and beard growth as short as possible -- use the trimmer first if necessary -- and the razor head moved
very slowly across the hair and back, stretching the skin ahead of the razor head so that the skin is taut. And the razor heads need to be cleaned frequently with a brush to get them really clean. Don't get the cutters mixed up -- each belongs in its own head.
Which model is it that you actually have? Neither of the ones I have at the moment are current models.
