No, I'm not going to continue the DCI during the pregancy. I had already gone off it a week before I found out and they say once you stop it is like starting over so...
I had started the Glumetza the day after I stopped DCI and the doc wants me to stay on that for now so that's what I'll do. I am hoping everything regulates itself after the pregnancy but if not, I will probably go back to the DCI. I really don't like the idea of metformin long-term if I am not diabetic. Plus, frankly, after 9 months I'm betting I'll really want the biggest, dirtiest martini on the planet and metformin and booze don't mix. Don't you just love the honesty?!
I'll continue to update as things progess. Right now I'm still sort of shocked and truly scared out of my mind about having a baby. |
