I was not able to take the 2-hour glucose test on the day of my appointment. They take two blood tests for the 2-hour glucose test, one on an empty stomach and the other after you have drank this sugar drink. The needs to be performed first thing in the morning, and my appointment with him was later in the day. I can't remember which birth control he put me, but if you prefer one over another, I'm sure he would consider the one you prefer. I waited maybe two weeks or so to come back and meet with the doctor to get my results. If you want your results sooner, the nurses are willing to give you them over the phone, well at least they did about 2 years ago when I was seeing him. The nurses do not always know the big picture, so I would wait to get your results from the RE so it is accurate. Yes, after my diagnosis he told me to follow up with my gyno and come back when ready to ttc. |
