Default Hair loss, scarves, and looking professional

hi all,

In one of the other threads, I mentioned massive hair loss (coming out in handfuls). My estrogen and testosterone were both normal, but my obgyn ordered a new set of tests on Friday (DHEA, DHEAS, T-4, etc.) so maybe I'll get answer soon.

My question concerns how to camouflage the hair loss in the meantime. I teach at a local college and my next set of classes starts in two weeks. There's no telling how much hair I'll have left at that point. It's only 5 weeks so I only need to disguise things for a short time.

I was thinking something like this might cover the male pattern hair loss -- http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php...ng_id=16073112 -- but I'm concerned 1) that I won't look professional or 2) I'll look too young. I turn 36 tomorrow, but I look at least 10 years younger. Which is great in other situations, but can be an obstacle when you're trying to assume a position of authority. The other problem is that I'm only completing my first year of solo teaching so I don't have the "teacher presence" mastered yet.

Any suggestions on how to wear scarves or other things that will be appropriate for a work situation?

Thanks!
