When I am asked, I mention FIRST that I have PCOS and am on Yaz along with Metformin. I always go to the same doctor, so they already know why I take it. With friends, it typicaly goes like this...
-"OMG OMG OMG YOU HAVE BIRTH CONTROL LOL!!??!?!?"-overly-curious/conservative male friend digging through my purse without permission
-"Oh, that. I have something called PCOS and I have to take birth control with Glucophage for the hormone problems it causes."
-"Oh, wow, I'm sorry."
Conversation over and quickly change subject.
