I too have had irritability and anger issues. Totally unlike me. I was always knows as a peaceful person, and everyone I knew over the years told me I had more patience than anyone they knew. Then things changed over the last couple of years. I got angry for no reason, little things would send me over the edge. I just saw my endo and my progesterone is extremely low--in the range of a post-menopausal woman (I'm 32--no menopause here). He told me before the testing that it sounded like a progesterone deficiency, because that can cause extreme moodiness and irritability. Add to that my high testosterone, because that causes irritability, too, and you have the makings of the near-monster I have become! Have your hormones checked if you haven't already. This endo blends eastern and western meds, and he prescribes bioidentical hormones, not the synthetic stuff, so I will be starting on that as soon as it gets shipped to me, and we'll see if I can get back to the old me soon. |
