So sorry for your loss. My three and a half year old has partial trisomy 3. Full trisomy 3 is always lethal but I would imagine that it is a one-time event. Most chromosome abnormalities are what is called "de novo" meaning that they happen randomly during conception or meiosis. I would definitely see genetic counseling. I had two pgs with chromosome abnormalities (dd and a m/c afterward with Turners syndrome, which means she was missing an x chromosome). My second baby has normal chromosomes. Don't give up hope!
