Techniques for thinning hair from easy to do to more difficult and costly:
- hair cut (either short or have layers cut in or do both)
- dye your hair (it makes it appear fuller and you could do highlights to create dimension)
- nioxin (great for volume but won't regrow hair)
- nizoral (again, good for volume and some say it helps slow hair loss (kat has an article on this))
- rogaine (this product will actually help regrow and halt hair loss in anywhere from 30-60% of people, you can use either the generic or brand name, but once you start using it you can't stop or you will lose the hair you have regrown)
- BCP (some women find this helps to slow hairloss)
- Spiro (takes about 6 months to a year and some people see results others don't)
- Flutamide (another oral hair loss drug and some see results on)
