Is BV a symptom of PCOS?
I've been suffering with Bacterial Vaginosis/Vaginitis since June 2006 and it's been nonstop. I think it's caused by a latex allergy for me (yea I've stopped using latex, but the BV won't go away). The only medicines that will calm the itching, burning, and discharge down for awhile is Metro-Gel, but I get sick of inserting it every night for a week and having the awful gelly stuff remnants seep out during the day.
What really worked for me while I didn't have insurance was a apple cider vinegar and water douche I used to mix up on my own. Half apple cider vinegar and half water (you might want to add a little more vinegar the first time you do it) and then wash your vaginal area out with it while sitting on the toilet.
There's something in apple cider vinegar that helps with the PH imbalance in the vagina of BV sufferers. Regular vinegar doesn't work the same.
That used to calm the itching and burning down if I did it every 2 days. It's a lot safer than peroxide although I've heard women say they've done it and it helped, but the thought just scares me.
