Yes, you can use HP for BV.
My FAVORITE remedy though - better than yogurt or probiotic tablets, better than ACV, better than anything I've ever found, is tea tree oil suppositories. You should be able to get what you need at Whole Foods or other health food stores - empty capsules, tea tree oil, and Vitamin E oil. Use 1/3 TTO and 2/3 Vit. E - put them in with a dropper. Insert one capsule intravaginally each night - it is instant cooling relief, and it really kills the gardinerella (sp) - the bad bacteria that causes BV. This regimen had kept me symptom free for months and months, but I had to stop once I got pregnant - essential oils like TTO are not safe in pregnancy.
Let me know if you try it, and if it helps. Believe me, I have tried just about EVERYTHING for BV. It always came back within 48 hours of finishing antiobiotics, so I had no choice but to find some home remedy that would keep it at bay. If you are having an outbreak right now, do go ahead and get the antiobiotics, but start the TTO regimen at the same time. Eat tons of yogurt to replace the good bacteria that the abx kill, too. |
