I have been on the bcp since age 15 and fortunately, I have not had too many bad remarks. You should take what your doctors are saying as a compliment. They truly are giving you kudos for being a responsible adult. They aren't going to tell you how responsible they feel you are, if they feel that you are "sleeping around". Most doctors don't jump to that conclusion anyhow, they are ballsy enough to just flat out ask. Just remember that doctors are trained to be straightforward and not sugar coat things. So, what they remark is just probably the first thing in mind.

As far as family and friends, you can be as public or as private as you want about your bcp. If you wish to share it, then just explain that you take a bcp for PCOS. Usually the conversation won't go much farther, unless it's a question of what PCOS is. But, the good thing about the bcp is that they are tiny and can be hidden if it bothers you that bad. Keep them at home or in a compartment of your purse and if you must, excuse your self to the rest room to take your pill.

Hope that helps! Good luck!
