It probably wouldn't hurt to get a second opinion.

To find someone in your area, run a search limited to the 'find a doctor' forums below. If you don't find anything, create a post with a request. Be sure to put the desired location in the subject line.

Also go to pubmed: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/

Search on the terms:

PCOS 'your city'

or

PCOS 'your state'

and/or

PCOS 'major city near you'

This will (hopefully) return a number of pcos research studies that have been done in your area. They always list the doctors who did the research, as well as, the hospital or research institution. Frequently, email addresses are listed. Shoot them a quick note asking if they see patients or can refer you to someone familiar with pcos.
