I have been to PP and while at the time, it was great because mine ended up being free, and I needed the help. But if I had insurance or another option, I wouldn't go there. I appreciate the services, thanks but no thanks type deal. It seemed like a Mickey Mouse operation, if you will. I mentioned PCOS and that I wanted to talk about it, and the NP blew it off. She has heard of it before, but had no interest in even going there.
I'm sure there are different expirences everywhere you go, but in my town... it's not an establishment that you brag about your expirences there.. you get what you pay for.
With that said, if you don't have any insurance I would go! It's great for that, it's just not anything I'd pick or pay for. If you get assistance with paying for it, in my state you will only get pap/pelvis exam, birth control, condoms, stuff like that. But you will not get any further care with PCOS-- in my expirence.

Doing Low GI diet as of Sept. 07. DX with PCOS in Sept 07' as well. Started at a size 24, now a size 14. My waist was 44", now it's 32". I am on no medication, just diet and exercise. Thank you all for your support and information! I encourage all of you to do a Low Glycemic diet! |
