No. A fasting glucose won't always give you the answer. There is something called either a glucose tolerance or insulin tolerance test. I can't remember the name. It's where you eat a larger carb meal and get tested within a certain amount of time after to see how quickly your insulin is working. I have never had this test but from what I have heard it will better test for insulin intolerance. |
