I bought this book a few months ago and have been following a lot of the suggestions in it. The one thing that I think has made a huge difference for me was sticking to organic dairy. I've been struggling with acne along my jawline and on the sides of my neck ever since I went off the pill three years ago. It got even worse when I was pregnant. Well, since cutting out "regular" dairy in favor of organic dairy, my stubborn acne is all but gone. Unfortunately, I still have the red marks that the acne left, but the painful pimples are completely gone.
What I like about this book is that it doesn't just focus on what we eat, but on how we live overall. In particular, I liked seeing info on how skin care products and cosmetics can also mess up our systems. It amazes me that so many harmful chemicals can be sold to us in our creams and perfumes! |
