I've noticed that it has helped with anxiety, but in conjunction with getting my low blood sugar under control. Low blood sugar triggers a fight or flight response that just adds to the problems.

An easy way to tell if omega 3 from fish oil will help is to check if you have little red bumps on the backs of your upper arms or thighs. They are a sign of Omega 3 deficiency. It can run in families too, my Mother and Brother also have those red bumps and problems with anxiety but they choose not to do anything about it.

You have to take Omega 3 supplements for some time before your body rebuilds it's omega 3 levels. It took about a year for the little red bumps on my arms to fade, but about the same time, I also realised that I'm much more relaxed under stress than I've ever been in my life.

Flax seed oil is also a good source of Omega 3 but make sure you're taking a supplement with both EPA and DHA listed on the label. Both parts are beneficial, EPA alone is OK but DHA alone will not help with anxiety.
