Yes it does seem to take forever just to get the proper medication because doctors want to see if your body will work itself out.
I've been telling my doctor about my symptoms since I was 16 and she always brushed me off. I was diagnosed at a women's clinic I've been going to since 2006. Whenever I would tell them I hadn't had a period in x amount of months they'd always jump down my back and tell my I was pregnant because I'm sexually active.
So I'd have to take their silly pee tests and when the results came back negative the nurses were always baffled.
When I think back on all the frustration and heartache I went through when the answer to what I had was always blaring in their faces I get angry. Slowly though I'm letting go and accepting that no ones perfect especially not doctors and nurses.
