Desperate for some help I got off of BCP in January and have had every single symptom of PCOS but no doctor seems to want to help. It's the same answer every time "give it more time" or "you aren't having periods because you are stressing yourself out". I am so beyond frustrated. I am currently not overweight, and I am so afraid of becoming overweight. When I was on BCP I could lose weight so easily... just exercise. Now I have been exercising so much and NOTHING. I have gained 10lbs since getting off the pill, have acne on my chin, between my eyebrows and every now and then on my cheeks (it is the red, painful kind) and I am getting hair on my upper lip and very lightly on my stomach. I had a withdrawl bleed after stopping the pill, had a +OPK on CD 21 and then started my period on CD 34... after that, I didn't have a period for 76 days (May 16th) and since May 16th... nothing! I am really freaking out and getting depressed.
Any advice would be helpful. I just don't understand why doctors can't listen to their patients!
I should point out that my primary care DID order blood work and a pelvic ultrasound... both came back normal (although my LH/FSH ratio was 6:1 (FSH 1.4 and LH 8.4) but it was right smack in the middle of my lengthy cycle... not on day 3). |
