this is a really good question. i've heard several stories of cysters being overweight and their PCOS symptoms haywire, and once they lose the weight, all the problems seem to dissappear. maybe it's concindense (sp) or not. we need some studies on this topic. i do know that i was always a small child and not until i hit puberty that i started gaining weight. i do take responsibility for my weight now because i make many unhealthy choices, but when i first started puberty and for about 5 years i made healthy decisions and still gained weight.
