Accutane was a blessing for me. Nothing worked. Nothing. The derm said Accutane was my only shot to get it under control. I stuck it out for 6 months of 80mg a day (really high dose). The side effects sucked but it is so worth it. I have been treated for depression so I had to get clearance from my therapist, and had to have someone watch me closely for signs of worsening depression. But, I had no trouble with depression at all. If anything it was better. Kind of wish I could keep taking it at a really low dose. |
