For the last two years every year when my doc does the full screening, I have had very low vitamin D levels, she advised me to take vitamin D vitamins in the highest over the counter dosage possible. I have purchased vitamin D 5000 IU and I take them once a day. Have only been taking them for a week so far. I'm on so many other meds for cholesterol and blood pressure that if I do have reslts I won't know whether it's from the vitamins or a combination of other meds and diet. Will let you know if anything drastic occurs.
