Default When do you call your doc?

OK so I'm still new to PCOS and trying very hard to avoid any medication other than birth control pills.

I've only found out just a year ago that I had this interesting syndrome.

So here's my question. I don't want to sound like a whinny patient to my doc; but when do you call him? My current dilemma is abdominal cramps (no where close to time for a probable period)... I'm sure it's more cysts as it always has been in the past... but when do you go? When the pain is unbearable? When you are leaking weird colors of pasty fluid? Please provide some advice.

A little background on me. 34 married working mother of 3; dx w/ pcos feb 08 after finishing breast feeding my last child. Periods never returned. Recently told found a mass on my brain by my pituitary gland and being checked for every type of cancer due to my family history. Latest blood work showed FSH/LH levels at below 0.3; Testosterone high; glucose normal. Most cysts found at one time were 16; 3 of them size of grapefruit. Began weight loss 12/16/08; as of this week dropped 47lbs have 60 to go. Trying to reduce the effects of PCOS through diet/exercise and stress reduction.

Please provide any advice on when to call the doc; with all the appointments I have with tests for this and that; I really am tired of going and calling; however I do not want to jepordize my health.
