Question Diagnosed in March 09 w/ PCOS

Hello all. I am new on here & need some advice. I do not know the abbreviations so please bare with me as I bring you up to date. My hubby & I have been married for 8 years. We have always tried to have children but just recently been at a place in our relationship & careers that we are able to take the step to start seeing a fertility specialist. (((I am overweight & know that has had an impact on us trying to conceive because of my cycles. All of my other doctors I have seen said that I needed to loose weight & my period would get regulate.)))We went back in March of this year & I was diagnosed with PCOS. I am overweight & have now been put on Metformin (1500mg). I am on my 2nd cycle of Femara. The first month my eggs were to small (measuring a 9), so I didn't have to do the HCG shot. Then this last month she up'd my doses of Femara to 7.5 daily on days 5-10. I did the HCG shot on 7/19 & go back on the 6th of July to find out if I am pregnant. I don't think it took but today is day 29 of my cycle & I usually start between 27-31 so I am not sure if it that I am pregnant the reason I haven't started yet or could it be because of the medicine & injection. Does the HCG injections change your cycle? Boy, to I have alot to learn. I am so nervous & trying to stay positive. She did tell me that if this didn't work this month, she would up my doses of Femara to 7.5 for 10 days & do HCG injections twice a day for 4 days. That's alot so I am so nervous. Any help, comments or past expereinces that you would be willing to share would be awsome. Thanks, Ker
