Speaking of cheating...I have cheated. Not often, but once in a blue moon in the last 5 weeks and not until the later part of the 3rd week. I will tell you that with as tiny as the bites you have to take are and as much as you have to chew them, the food you are craving barely even tastes like what you thought it would. I probably would have gotten more satisfaction from my big cheat (mexican food) if I had just put the bite in my mouth, swirled it around to get the flavor and then spit it back out because by the time I was done chewing it, I didn't want it anymore. Also, I learned the hard way that you have to chew itty bitty tiny pieces and very slowly otherwise you either feel like the food is stuck, or worse it comes back up. I was drinking lemonade, yes bad I know, but it used to be my favorite drink and when I drank it on Friday it came back up-I don't mean throw up, I mean like my stomach was just like, "Nope, not in here" and decided to get rid of it. I think what was hardest for me is that my Dr is SUPER strict and doesn't want me eaing for 6 weeks and even as prepared as I thought I was...I wasn't prepared for the tiny bites I thought I was taking to be too big. I believe that is why they usually do the 3-6months of diet and exercise with the nutritionist and the psych eval. All that being said, I don't regret doing the band.
